From the initial assesment to the
evaluation of plans and policies, TEC can handle each step of tourism
and travel policies.
This assistance can be limited but also followed up
through longer periods (methodological assistance and advices). Tec is
building long term partnerships with public or private institutions. We
work for instance with the Institut Français de l'Environnement (Ifen)
since 1999 ; we organise since january 2001 the cooperation between
Ifen and Afit and have been experts to the Blue plan for several years.
We are particularly helpful to intitutions which wish
to diversify or develop
some tourism product complementing their basic activity ( monitoring,
initiation and follow up of environmental assesments, building strategic
or action plans for
instance).
Our proposals are directed to local governments,
private and public firms, NGOs, governments and international
organisations.

Training
TEC proposes modules of initial formation and continuous training, in
professional environment as well as academic world.
In 2004, for instance, we taught at the Master Tourisme et Environnement
(University of St Quentin en Yvelines), at the Master of Tourism and
Sustainable Development (University of Montpellier) and took up a
course in english within the Master of Science "Strategic Tourism
Management" of CERAM in Sophia Antipolis. We also implemented a
3-days course on sustainable tourism for local civil servants, as well
as for top officials from the Ministrt of tourism.
Our fields of intervention are the followings :
- tourism, in much of its aspects: introduction to
tourism, observation and evaluation, development of stretegies, ecotourism and sustainable tourism...,
- environmental policies
for local communities,
- local sustainable
development (Agenda 21 local),
- observation and
evaluation of the environment and the sustainable development (indicators,
statistics, databases),
- regional planning and
transport, particularly on the coastal and rural areas
- methods related to the regional
planning: building a project of territory, implementing
a sustainable development strategy, evaluating the actions...
